The New England Revolution signed forward Bobby Wood to a one-year contract with a club option for 2024.

The Revs selected the 30-year-old Hawaii native with the first pick in Stage 2 of last week's MLS re-entry draft.

Wood played in 31 matches (20 starts) for Real Salt Lake during the 2021 and 2022 seasons, netting five goals and two assists.

"We are excited to welcome Bobby Wood to the New England Revolution," Revolution sporting director and head coach Bruce Arena said confirming the deal on Monday. "I'm very familiar with Bobby, having coached him on the international stage with the United States, and I'm very confident that he'll be an excellent addition to our attack here in New England."

Wood played professionally for a decade in Germany prior to joining Real Salt Lake.

Internationally, he earned 45 caps and scored 13 goals with the U.S. men's national team from 2013-18.
